Whilst animals have always been my love, my passion is for orangutan conservation and their environment.

I first met Kobe Steele in 2008 on her first visit to Borneo. At the time I was the Administration Manager for The Orangutan Project. I remember sitting around the pool after our orangutan eco tour brainstorming ways we could help Dr. Birute Galdikas and her mission to Save Orangutans. A firm friendship was formed and in 2012, when OFI Australia was established, I joined the Board. I had a short break from the Board due to family commitments, but I am delighted to have re-joined the team again in 2021.

For the past 15 years, my work life has been concentrated around the not-for-profit sector with Volunteer Management as my focus. I worked for Arthritis SA and then The Orangutan Project. My greatest work joy has been 8 wonderful years with Zoos SA as Volunteer Manager. I had the privilege of working with over 500 volunteers across both zoo sites – Adelaide and Monarto.  Here I had the opportunity to combine my management skills with a strong focus on the environment and conservation.

Previous to working with not-for-profits, I was Administration Manager for Tourism Brochure Exchange for 15 years.
