Our foster parents will be happy to hear that little baby Koling is doted upon by his caregivers. Camp Danielle has well and truly become his home, and he shares his sleeping enclosure with his orangutan friend Sugar. He has a healthy appetite, munching all fruits that he happens across, with bananas being a particular favourite. He enjoys enrichment items including rattan balls filled with treats such as peanuts. Koling holds a rattan ball next to his ear and shakes it about, enjoying the sounds it makes. A gregarious orangutan he likes to be close to his caregivers.

Koling is eager to learn and move about, but most of all he always seems to be in search of the best spot to sit and relax. On his travels Koling finds the shade of the forest a nice place to observe the world go by and soak up the sounds of nature. Time spent in nature is never a bad thing, especially during playtime, but Koling quickly is on the move again, looking for another resting spot. He samples various spots including the boardwalk and inside a blue barrel at the playground. None of these suffice. Finally, he finds the climbing net to his satisfaction, it is like one big hammock for him. An ultra deluxe bed fit for a king but there is only room for one! His loyal subjects (aka caregivers) gather leaves and branches for him to hug and to make himself comfortable. Koling wants for nothing, laying back and snacking on peanuts, lazily allowing the shells to drop on the ground near him. Suddenly as he plays with the leaves, he rolls around too excitedly and falls to the ground! Using some tyres as a staircase Koling quickly clambers back into the net and lays down, acting as if nothing had happened. There is something missing though, and Koling works out what it is. After all that searching, Koling knows that the best place to sit is in caregiver Ibu Eny’s lap. Unlimited hugs and warmth are provided here, and we’re sure that you’ll agree, Koling rightly deserves these.
