Tommy’s Jungle Journal:
It’s always a wild and unpredictable time with Tommy but he just takes things as they come. Tommy is currently thriving and spending his time adventuring with orangutan friend Ponti. Tommy could even be a candidate for Borneo’s next top model with his stylishly growing long hair. The path to forest school is his runway where he showcases his stylish moves and impresses his caregivers.

Tommy’s energy knows no bounds as he darts through the forest, a blur of excitement. Forget the playground – Tommy is all about the untamed forest, where every tree is a climbing challenge and every branch an opportunity for a playful swing. All the canopy is a stage and Tommy is its player. The canopy, the jungle floor, and the pools around the tree roots offer plenty of opportunity for expression.

Tommy navigates the forest with a head strong attitude and recently a new chapter began in his social life. Tommy went deep into the forest and joined Pondok Dua’s (Hut two) forest school releases. Upon arrival Tommy caught the eye of a certain female orangutan named Meli. Here the heart ruled the head, and it was love at first sight. Tommy seemed smitten and exchanged playful moments with Meli. They tussled and rolled around the ground before chasing each other through the treetops. Their jungle rendezvous has captured the hearts of onlookers, and caregivers light-heartedly declared, “Tommy is in love with Meli!”

There is always plenty to write about in Tommy’s jungle journal so stay tuned for more updates as Tommy’s jungle escapades continue, and who knows how this budding romance/friendship will progress.
